About the award

The Centre for Ecology and Conservation is pleased to offer an annual fees-onlyscholarship to one student from each of Africa, Asia and Latin America.
These are highly competitive awards: students must demonstrate an extremely high academic standard and must show prior commitment to the field of biodiversity conservation. Evidence must be produced as to means of self support during the one year period of study.
All completed applications to the MSc Conservation and Biodiversity received by 2 April 2012 will be considered. Postdoctoral studies in Biochemistry and Biophysics

the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics.
The department conducts a broad spectrum of biomedical research and education within medical biochemistry and biophysics. Presently our department consists of 11 research divisions with a total of approximately 300 employees.

Description of the research project/area of research
The group uses a system structural biology approach to study function and mechanism of enzymes that catalyze protein modifications (ADP-ribose transferases in particular) with emphasis on implications for cancer.
The focus of the current position will be on the biochemical characterization of ADP-ribose transferases. The group applies X-ray crystallography and a wide range of biophysical and biochemical techniques to study protein function. The laboratory has a strong track record in the use of high throughput technologies for protein production, crystallization and structure analysis. The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art instruments for protein chemistry, biophysics, crystallography, and high throughput technologies.
The project is initially for one year.

New Zealand-ASEAN Scholars Awards: Indonesia

Background

The New Zealand-ASEAN Scholars Awards seek to make a substantial contribution to ASEAN’s development by providing opportunities for postgraduate study (i.e. Postgraduate Diploma, Master’s degree and doctorate/PhD) in New Zealand.
The New Zealand-ASEAN Scholars Awards (NZ-AS) are part of the New Zealand’s official development assistance to the ASEAN region. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, through the New Zealand Aid Programme, delivers this scholarships scheme.
Under the NZ-AS scheme, up to 170 scholarships are available to candidates from ASEAN countries. From the total of 170, up to 50 scholarships per annum are available for Indonesian applicants.
The scholarships are for full-time study (See the scholarships benefits) at one of nine eligible New Zealand institutions. See the list of eligible New Zealand education institutions

APPLICATION
Application to the MPA at Sciences Po is done on the basis of a written application only (submitted through our online application form).  Applications for 2012 are currently open.  Candidates may apply to only one session per academic year.

Application deadlines for entry in September 2012
For Eiffel Scholarship consideration: November 22, 2011.
For Sciences Po scholarship consideration: March 13, 2012.
For no scholarship consideration: April 5, 2012.
This is a rolling admissions period. Admissions will continue only until places are filled and may close before April.

Selection Criteria
As the MPA is designed for young professionals, previous work experience is one of the requirements for entry into the program. Students generally have between 2 and 10 years of professional experience at the time of application. Each year, the Selection Committee makes some exceptions to the minimum 2 years’ rule for candidates with particularly outstanding academic records, internships or other activities which show clear motivation, and very strong potential. Nevertheless, all applicants must at the time of application already be in possession of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

Undergraduate scholarships - Kingston University London

We offer up to ten scholarships for undergraduate students for September entry.

The scholarships are open to prospective full-time undergraduate students in any subject area for each year of a three-year course (subject to satisfactory progress). Foundation degree students (first year entry only) are also eligible for the scholarships.


The deadline for September 2012 scholarship applications is 31 May 2012.


Who can apply?
  • You can apply for an award if you:
  • are an international student (classified as 'overseas' for fee purposes);
  • have an offer of a place on an undergraduate degree course or foundation degree course at Kingston for 2012 entry (first year entry only); and
  • are not currently registered on an undergraduate course at Kingston University.
